Kalo App Concept
Kalo is a financial portal for creative freelancers. We developed their web identity, dashboard UX system, and high-conversion landing page using a layout inspired by classic print magazines.
The Layout: A strict horizontal grid structure, monospace labels, and Playfair Display headings that challenge typical tech dashboard designs.
Editorial UX: Rather than cluttering the screen with dense graphs, we structured Kalo with empty space, large bold numbers, and tactile dividers. It feels more like reading a financial journal.
Freelancers deserve tools that feel less like spreadsheets and more like a beautifully typeset monograph. We stripped away default dashboard components to make bookkeeping deliberate and calming.— UX Director, DOC Atelier
Typography & Cleanliness: Utilizing premium monospace fonts for financial figures ensures perfect vertical alignment and scannability, preventing the typical visual fatigue associated with spreadsheets.
Performance: Built on Next.js with server-side rendered layouts and zero-runtime CSS, the Kalo landing page achieves an instant paint time, keeping bounce rates exceptionally low.
